Without question the premiere sandwich maker in, or around, Mobile. I've tried most all items on the menu and have not been disappointed yet. All locations are good, but the Highway 45 location in 8 Mile is the bee's knees. Sandwiches here are made with love. My personal favorite is the "large grilled chicken philly, with peppers and onions". Pronounced, "Large chicken, with". Say that to sound if you have been there before. Its a local thing. A close second to the chicken philly is the ruben with hot mustard and kraut. Honestly you can eat here better than in Philly and Ireland looking for the same known dishes. The Steak philly with onions and peppers is another item to consider. And if you are up to a real meal...order a large "garbage" sandwich. It has all the ends from meats piled high and dressed just how you like it. Go ahead and ask for a takeout box. Try this place where they treat you like a regular customer, and never leave hungry. Rated a must try in my book, and a staple after you do.
Large portions, fairly priced and great taste. The draw for me is not the 2 for 1 coupon gimmicks or free cookies like other establishments. The employees there make a world of difference. They treat you with respect. They know almost every customer and call them by their name whether they come in through the door, or pull up to the drive through. This is a real good restaurant. You can get you a really big chicken subway sandwich. You can get you also a big steak subway sandwich. I got me a really big chicken subway sandwich from Philadelphia even though we was in mobile alabama. The subking hisself was in there making the sandwiches and he told me to get that and he was right. And a cokecola. It maybe have to be the best subway sandwich I has ever had.
It's hit or miss on the politeness of the employees. But as long as they keep making one of the best sandwiches in Mobile I'll always come back!
